Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026. This covers the new collectiblesmart marketplace.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, an encrypted (hashed) password, and your ZIP code if you give it.
- What you post: your Wants, offers, notes and, when they arrive, photos.
- Orders: what was bought and sold, prices, fees, shipping details and order status.
- Server logs: like every website, our server records IP addresses and pages requested, to keep the site secure.
What we show other people
Other members see your first name, what you want or offer, and the first three digits of your ZIP (your general area, for local pickup). We never show your email address, full ZIP or last name on the site.
Payments
When payments open, card details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers. Sellers who get paid will verify their identity with Stripe, under Stripe's own privacy policy.
We email you about your account and your activity: offers on your Wants, answers to your offers, orders, and password resets. We don't sell or rent your email address, and we don't send it to advertisers.

Only essential cookies today. See the cookie policy.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while your account is open. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Ask us to close your account and we'll delete what we aren't required to keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data. Write to us at the address below and we'll answer within 30 days.
